Water Over Nickel invites you to take part in our Postcard Contest! Submit your original artwork or photography inspired by water, connection, and the impact of our voices.

Selected designs will be turned into postcards used during the upcoming public comment period—helping share our collective responsibility to protect clean water and future generations.

A group of finalists will be selected, and the community will vote for their favorites online. Winners will be announced at the Cultural Arts Showcase on Friday, May 29, 2026 | 5–8 PM at Grand Casino Hinckley.

Design Requirements:

• All artwork must be your original work. Using copyrighted materials, stock images, clip art, or generative AI is not allowed.

• Photographs, drawings, paintings, and digital art will be accepted.

• Only landscape orientations will be accepted.

• Final postcard size will be 4” x 6” so designs should follow a 2:3 ratio. If your design is outside this ratio and selected as a winner, it will be cropped to fit.

• Only JPG and PNG formats will be accepted.

• You may submit as many times as you would like.

• Designs containing vulgar, explicit, or illegal content will not be accepted.

• Submissions Open: April 8, 2026

• Submission Deadline: May 8, 2026

• Finalist Judging Occurs: May 8 - May 14, 2026

• Finalists Notified: May 15, 2026

• Online Voting starts: May 18, 2026

• Winner(s) Announced: May 29, 2026

Prizes:

• Water Over Nickel Swag bag.

• 15 postcards of your winning design to share with friends and family.

• Announcement including a link to the winner’s social media and/or website.
